Camping in Baja has been “a thing” for a long time but the options have expanded with choices for the adventurous and the delicate alike. Explore one of these experiences; rustic, primitive or glamping within hours of the San Diego, California border.

PLAYA SALDAMANDO : Rustic with an ocean view

8 miles north of Ensenada and an hour south of the San Diego border

Tent Camping | RV Camping | Day Passes | Trailer Rentals

Website  | KM 94 off the toll road to Ensenada

Playa Saldamando is located on the bluffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Each camp spot whether for a tent, trailer, RV or their rentals has an ocean view. The camp site is located right off the main highway with easy access. There are no RV hookups so it is dry camping only.

There is direct access to the private beach below and 24 hour security. Wake to the chill of early morning with a hot cup of joe in hand and a sunset to die for. Enjoy some local Valle de Guadalupe wines that you bring back from your day trip to the wineries just 30 minutes to your east.

CABAÑAS at CUATROCUATROS | Glamping on top of the world

If you’re the type who has no need to “rough it” but you don’t mind stepping slightly outside your comfort zone, Cuatrocuatros has you in mind. They’ve set up the ideal spot to enjoy a natural setting with an incredible view, wine sunsets over the Pacific, and real beds in some pretty sweet, decked out tents.

Set atop a plateau high above the Pacific Ocean, Cuatrocuatros is just a few miles from Ensenada and Baja’s elite wine country, Valle de Guadalupe. Luxury tent cabins are set in the middle of wine vineyards and encourage visitors to enjoy the beauty of the region.

LAS CAÑADAS | Adventure Seekers and Kids Welcome

This is no ordinary campground but a campground on steroids! This place will make everyone happy.

Camp in a tent, your trailer, or rent a cabana. Hang in the pools and water parks all day to keep cool, ride quads, play on the lake, enjoy Indian Village or go zip lining.

Las Cañadas is 45 minutes south of Ensenada, just far enough out of town to enjoy the mountain view and lake and valley with PLENTY of outdoor activity.
