Hot But Who Cares! Waterfront Food Fest
WHAT A DAY! Somehow, the skies are clear and the sun is burning HOT HOT HOT on the annual November food fest at the Embarcadero on San Diego’s Harbor Marina. The festival was filled with hungry, thirsty fest-goers and there was plenty to satisfy.
Vendors from everywhere gathered to feed and quench the crowds. Early arrivals stood in line to enter the fest with tunes of a live musician to serenade them to hasten the crowd from ramming the gates. 😉 Not really, but it was a nice touch.
Live music played in the VIP section all day, keeping things upbeat while guests took refuge from the heat under the canopies. Corn Hole Boards were a crowd-pleaser and spurred on a bit of friendly competition. The nearby Big Green Egg Demo Stage was entertaining with a lineup of chefs that know how to turn on the charm like Ironside Fish & Oyster’s Chef Jason McLeod & Brian Malarkey. This season’s Top Chef contestant Chef Chad White & 2014 World Food Champion Chef Ricardo Heredia took to the stage together as a team to smoke and dress oysters with an infectious comedic energy.
The San Diego Bay Wine & Food Festival Grand Tasting is definitely one of San Diego’s BEST food fest events of the year. Enjoy the photos below and next year… get your tickets early!
