The Scenic Road to Valle De Guadalupe May Slide Into the Pacific

A 300 meter section of the scenic road to Ensenada and Valle de Guadalupe means foodies will have to take the interior, NON-toll road to the southern destination which has recently gained popularity as a food & wine trek with famed restaurants from renowned chefs such as Javier Plascencia (Finca Altozano) & Diego Hernandez Baquedano (Corazon de Tierra)

After heavy rains and a 4.6 magnitude earthquake, the heavily traveled toll road has collapsed. No one was injured in the land slide according to the San Diego Union Tribune. A cement truck was trapped on a crumbled section but the driver made it out safely before the vehicle tumbled into the Pacific Ocean. Officials say it may take up to a year to repair damages to the toll road section just 10 miles north of the Ensenada toll booth near Salsipuedes, a local surf spot.
