Humor…. the Liam Foundation has always found humor as a core channel to deliver their message about Cystic Fibrosis. They are a funny bunch. The Liam Foundation is an organization built on confidence and immediacy simultaneously. With over 70,000 people worldwide struggling with simply a breath, the Liam Foundation has focused its efforts on research to find a cure.
The Hearne family has a very special connection and a life lesson they have managed to integrate and share with everything they do. Liam, Bill and Nancy Hearne’s eldest son, has CF. Liam has an unimaginably difficult case of Cystic Fibrosis. As a young man, he has suffered through more 
procedures and surgeries than he can count. He is a unique person with a strong character. Liam is one of the most positive and happy people you will ever meet. If you ask Liam’s sister about her hero, Shannon will tell you all about Liam. To hear her speak of her brother brings tears to your eyes. To listen to Liam speak of his life and to be in the presence of Bill and Nancy as they speak of life with CF will also cause you to shed a tear. Contrary to what you might think, they are rarely tears of sadness. Usually, they are tears of laughter brought on by the uncontrollable belly laughs and joy infused by this funny bunch. At Liam Foundation, they have found progress through laughter and smiles.
This year, the Liam Foundation is hosting charity benefit, a Hollywood Glam Gala, at Morgan Run Resort in Rancho Santa Fe, June 12th. It wouldn’t be likely for the Liam Foundation to throw a soiree without a theme, so they request that you be inspired by the glitz and glamour of old Hollywood and arrive dressed as your favorite “character”. Think Charlie or Greta or Humphrey.
