Saturday, August 10th from noon – 4PM you be the judge! Vote for the best Burgers and Beer in San Diego. The Reader is back at it at again. Golden Hill Park (map) is the setting for an afternoon of fun great eats. Tickets start at $45 pp but don’t bring the kiddies because it is a 21+ up event. Sorry but mama needs a day off.
All weekend long, Baja / San Diego Chef Javier Plascencia will take over Rita’s Cantina with a very special offering to share Culture Through Cuisine. Tickets start at $30 with several seatings throughout the 3 days including a Sunday Brunch! Must be 21+ up to attend.
A little mid-week belly heaven with great live music and all around good vibe people will brighten your days with this event from ONO YUM (producers of the popular Poke Fest) and the uber talented Chef Philip Esteban at Cork and Craft. Arrival is 6PM at Cork and Craft (map). If you haven’t yet experienced Chef Esteban’s food yet, THIS is a perfect opportunity.
If you are looking for something the whole family might be able to enjoy, Just Call Us Volunteers is celebrating 10 years of feeding San Diego’s most needy with a fun, wacky circus. September 17th at Francis Parker School from 4PM – 7PM ALL are welcome but then the BIG KIDS time begins. From 6PM – 9:30PM, the burlesque show, aerial gymnasts and fire breathers will entertain while you meander through the palate delights from San Diego’s best and most generous restaurants and spirits and beer purveyors.
