Books, Bites and Libations for the UC Press Make For a Lovely Evening

The UC Press Foundation held a lovely reception at the home of Bill & Michelle Lerach in La Jolla last night which featured six distinguished authors. The event was a thing of beauty. Each book was showcased in a different room with a thoughtfully crafted vignette created by event architect and caterer, Andrew Spurgin. Paired with each vignette was a palate pleasing sampler from a participating chef. Cocktails were jovially mixed by Snake Oil Cocktail Company (delightful) and wine flowed lovingly overlooking a Pacific sunset from Baja Wines.

What more does one need from an event but a good venue, great conversation, food for the soul and sustenance of the mind? Check, check, check and check, I say! Bravo.
