Enjoy a Poolside Fiesta and Celebrity Chef Challenge with Guest Chefs Claudia Sandoval & Javier Plascencia to Benefit the Culinary Art School of Tijuana

The Westgate Hotel, in partnership with the Consulate General of Mexico in San Diego, will host a regional culinary experience benefitting the Culinary Art School of Tijuana. The two-night Borderless Dine & Wine event will take place on Friday, September 29, and Saturday, September 30.

On Friday, September 29, while poolside overlooking the downtown San Diego skyline, guests will indulge in an array of delectable small plates crafted by the Culinary Art School of Tijuana. The event will serve as the official debut for these students. While sipping on a variety of Baja wines and beers, live music from jazz chantress Lorraine Castellanos will provide the perfect ambiance for a summer-end celebration. The event will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and the cost is $40 per person.

The celebration continues on Saturday, September 30, with a celebrity chef challenge. Set in The Westgate Hotel’s enchanting Versailles Ballroom, guests will feast on a four-course prix fixe menu specially crafted by celebrity chefs Claudia Sandoval, winner of MasterChef, and Javier Plascencia, a culinary ambassador of Baja, California. Each chef will construct two courses using sustainably sourced ingredients. Enhanced with wine pairing and live music, the night is sure to create special memories. The event begins at 7:00 p.m. and the cost is $130 per person.
