Javier Plascencia’s new book is gaining quite the attention, especially after the Animalon book release event when the live slaughter of a lamb shocked many guests. The event took place in Barrio Logan at Bread & Salt with plenty of open flame, food preparation in the courtyard. My hair smelled like smoke after two washes. 😉

The featured wine of the night was from Valle de Guadalupe’s own La Lomita winery presented by Baja Food & Wine, who had a little show of their own. Nortec Collection took to the stage to enliven the crowd. Friends from both sides of the border celebrated in the artistic, open layout space.
