Barrio Logan has been a rising star neighborhood in the last few years with it’s gentrification of the area which was once known for less desirable reasons. Now, the small strip of Logan Avenue with stellar views of the San Diego skyline and Coronado Bridge, just south of East Village, has a renewed spirit. Breweries, coffeehouses, restaurants, retail and art galleries are bringing revenue into the Barrio in keeping with the Latino flair.
One such business is La Bodega Gallery. On July 8th, La Bodega Gallery had a line wrapped around the corner of Logan and Sampson Avenue of people of all ages awaiting entry into the Frida Kahlo Art Show. The show will continue to run through July 18th, Tuesday – Friday, noon to 6PM.
