San Diego is pumping out some serious talent in the culinary world right now. Viewers all across America are standing up and taking notice of our little corner of the planet because we’re making them hungry. Names like Brian Malarkey, Richard Blais, Troy Johnson, Chad White and now Claudia Sandoval are recognizable to the masses, not just to our local San Diego community.
All eyes are currently on Claudia Sandoval, MasterChef Season 6 winner, to see what she can pull out of her hat. Because Claudia does not hail from a restaurant background, she has a lot to prove in the eyes of many and she’s about to do just that this Friday, June 17. Chef Claudia has partnered with South Coast Winery Resort and Spa, located in Temecula, California, to produce her first ever pop-up dinner since her big win.
A sneak peek of her menu has been posted on her Facebook feed and it’s pretty stellar. If she can execute this menu as she envisions it in her head, there will be no choice for the culinary community to have anything but mass respect for this single, Latina mother from La Mesa.
Sabor y Vinos intends to take you on a magical journey of exotic, Mexican flavor profiles of the highest levels. The dinner will be set in the beautiful surroundings of the winery with live entertainment and a cocktail reception all followed by a seven course feast accompanied by award winning wines. Each guest will also go home with a personalized copy of Claudia’s first cookbook.
Currently the dinner alone is priced at $195 dollars per person or a package deal of the $579 which includes two dinner tickets plus overnight accommodations at the resort. Chef Claudia has also invited her friend Natasha Clement, winner of Food Network All-Star Academy to join her.
