Oscar nominee Liam Neeson accepted an exciting new role this week that paints a beautiful portrait of a gracious man using his position in life for the improvement of vulnerable children all over the world. Liam Neeson will take on the responsibility of UNICEF‘s Goodwill Ambassador. He has been involved with UNICEF since 1997.
Mr. Neeson has been a support in the Believe in Zero campaign which aims to reduce the nearly 22,000 children who perish each day from preventable causes such as sanitary drinking water and access to basic health care.
Working in over 150 countries, UNICEF is a global humanitarian relief organization providing children with health care and immunizations, clean water, nutrition and food security, education, emergency relief and more. The U.S. Fund for UNICEF supports UNICEF’s humanitarian relief work through fundraising, advocacy and education in the United States.
