San Diego Natural History Museum Celebrates Environmental Collaboration on Both Sides of the Baja Region Border
December, 2010 | San Diego—On February 5, 2011, Co-Chairs Eleanor Navarra and Marie Tahan Daniels will welcome over 400 influential leaders from the business and regional civic communities and friends of the San Diego Natural History Museum in celebration of the many years of binational research and education collaboration between the Southern California and Baja California region. Each year, the Museum is transformed to celebrate our binational region and recognize two honorees who have contributed significantly to cross-border cooperation and environmental understanding. This year’s 2011 Dos Aguilas Honorees, the mother-daughter team, Yolanda Walther-Meade and Yolanda Selene Walther-Meade will be honored for their decade long commitment, promoting Dos Aguilas, the binational celebration that brings much needed research & programs to the region.
“Giving Scene San Diego is proud to be able to offer our support as the Online Media Sponsor for the 2011 Dos Aguilas Celebration. The funds raised for the San Diego Natural History Museum during this particular event are for an amazing partnership across our borders that engages our collaborative resources for conservation in our natural region,” says Co-Chair and Editor for GivingSceneSD.com.
This year, guests will be welcomed by a spectacular feast for the eyes as the San Diego Natural History Museum is transformed into an energizing menagerie of scrumptious gourmet food from the region’s most talented culinary artists from both sides of the border, scintillating entertainment by Los Reyes del Ritmo and a dynamic new “After Dark @ the Museum” party.
